About the role
The Area Manager (AM) oversees company sushi bars and Asian cuisine venues within local grocery stores and supermarkets. The AM is responsible for employee recruiting, training, and leadership, as well as daily kiosk operations, data-driven decisions, food safety, customer service, and inventory management. This role requires leading a diverse team while managing multiple responsibilities aligned with company goals.

Responsibilities
- Provide on-site training and coaching in sales growth, daily operations, food safety, customer service, and inventory management using tools like Yoobic, Power BI, Adoria, and HR systems
- Review daily sales data to drive business decisions and growth by kiosk location using company-provided tools
- Maintain company standards for food safety and product quality in partnership with the Director of Operations (DO) and corporate teams
- Conduct regular operational store visits and inspections, including weekend and evening hours, to ensure standards and team well-being are met
- Recruit, train, and retain team members to meet staffing expectations per kiosk location using HR technology and operational data
- Lead and inspire staff to excel as leaders and team players while ensuring timely pay and benefits through HR systems
- Coordinate and maintain proper permits and licenses for each location in partnership with corporate teams
- Represent the company brand professionally, fostering customer relationships and strong business partnerships with clients and employees
- Enforce company-directed initiatives, operational policies, and procedures
- Communicate the company’s corporate mission, philosophy, and business operations while fostering optimism about the company’s future direction
Other duties as required may be assigned.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of food-related experience and/or operational business management (bachelor’s degree is a plus)
- 3-5 years of team leadership experience, ensuring a safe and dependable workspace
- Strong knowledge of food safety best practices and regulations, with the ability to identify compliance issues
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs; willingness to train others on company-directed programs
- Ability to uphold company standards and best practices
