Area Manager

About the role

Join a locally owned Great Clips® salon organization in a leadership role that blends hands-on salon management with multi-salon oversight. As an Area Manager, you’ll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations. This role is ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams.

You will work closely with salon managers to improve sales, control labor, maintain brand standards, and create an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the daily operations of one Great Clips salon
• Support and coach Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations
• Drive performance and operational excellence across multiple salons
• Develop salon managers and strengthen team culture
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans
• Maintain brand standards and ensure consistent customer experience
• Work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area
• Collaborate with teams to proactively seek solutions to challenges

Requirements

• Previous salon management experience or multi-unit retail management experience
• Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations
• Commitment to collaboration and accountability
