Area Manager
Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workforce and maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance while ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.
Our Operations workflow includes three major components: First mile (product storage and order readiness), Middle mile (order transportation to your area), and Last mile (product delivery to the customer’s door). While workflows may vary slightly, our commitment to customer satisfaction remains constant. Our fulfillment network launches new sites annually, offering opportunities for professional growth. Hiring is based on location preference and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources) to develop business plans
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
- Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures (including outdoor loading areas)
- Continuously climb and descend stairs (where applicable)
Requirements
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Valid and active USA state driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
Pay
Base salary range: $70,000 – $90,900 USD annually (location: USA, GA, Duluth).
