Area Maintenance Planner/Supervisor (Electrical)
About the role
The Maintenance Planner / Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation at Sappi Somerset is a key position within a large, established manufacturing facility. This role blends planning, coordination, and team leadership, offering a balance of technical problem-solving, coordination, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and/or leading daily maintenance activities and planned outages
- Safety-first work environment support
- Partnering with operations to address equipment issues and maintain production targets
- Improving planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work
- Troubleshooting issues with electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment
- Supporting or leading a skilled maintenance team, depending on role alignment
- Contributing to equipment reliability and performance improvements
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership
- 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance
- 3+ years of experience in supervision, shutdown planning, or engineering roles
- Strong troubleshooting skills with process or rotating equipment
- Familiarity with SAP or similar CMMS systems

- Electrical Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
