About the role
The Area Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair activities within designated areas of the university campus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance tasks including but not limited to landscaping, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety protocols and university policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to address issues related to building maintenance and facility operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- High school graduate and 10 years of management/supervisory experience of institutional maintenance teams.
- Experience in managing large-scale facilities and teams.
- Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and safety standards.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
