Area Maintenance Manager

What You’ll Do

• Develop maintenance technicians responsible for the reliability and performance of general warehouse assets and production equipment in an e-commerce fulfillment center.
• Lead preventative and reactive equipment repairs and handle high severity downtime events.
• Audit the quality of work and documentation of the team and evaluate areas to improve.
• Leverage continuous improvement projects that target key performance indicators such as injury rates, equipment uptime, mean time to repair, and system capacity.
• Use data to measure and lead the performance of your team.
• Partner with Chewy Operations and Support teams to achieve business goals.
• Coordinate third party vendors performing work for Chewy.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience running a maintenance or operations team in a warehouse or factory.
• Experience working with material handling equipment such as conveyors and powered industrial trucks.
• Experience using information systems and data to measure and improve key performance indicators.
• Ability to simultaneously support multiple high priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross functional partners.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Bonus

• Experience maintaining industrial control systems.
• Experience maintaining electrical systems.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $83,000 - $132,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
