Area Leader- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver proper training for all employees in the lead group, instructing them on how the work is to be performed.
• Assign work to employees in the lead group and provide instructions on work execution.
• Check for special materials and/or parts per shop procedure before starting orders.
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Monitor the amount of scrap and rework, ensuring employees in the lead group maintain acceptable work habits and product quality.
• Assist the supervisor in writing a detailed tie-in for the oncoming shift as necessary.
• Ensure Company tools and equipment are properly used, cared for, and maintained.
• Inspect the quality of the product.
• Engage in daily open communication with the supervisor.
• Report problems to the supervisor.
