Area Horizon School_Assistant Coach, JV Volleyball (Lithonia HS) 2026-2027

Lithonia High School is seeking a motivated JV Volleyball Coach who has a passion for working with high school students. The ideal candidate should have excellent instructional delivery skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.

About the role

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach. You must be willing to assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare the team for competition, and determine the need for individual or team improvement. You must also accept directions from the Head Coach at all times.

A Lay Coach will assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment, keep up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques, and maintain locker room and playing facilities. Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred
• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required
• Valid certificate in first aid required
