About the role
At VRC Companies, LLC, we rely on a successful sales team to drive growth. The Area Development Manager will represent our products and services, starting with a deep understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet client needs. You will build, grow, and maintain a consistent pipeline with current clients and new leads through effective sales and marketing strategies to meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identify potential new sales opportunities.
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, follow up on leads, create proposals, and manage the sales cycle to close new business across all service categories.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge of core services, conduct demos, and handle objections effectively.
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process, often utilizing product demos and presentations.
- Escalate and handle customer service items as directed by sales leadership.
- Coordinate with sales leadership and staff to ensure company quotas and standards are met, including performing market research and monitoring competitors.
- Develop and implement a territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis and adjust sales techniques based on prospect and client interactions.
- Generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedules to actively manage incoming sales opportunities.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of account management experience (e.g., cold calling, customer service, proposal development, and closing deals).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with technology such as Microsoft Office applications, sales management software, and CRM software.
- A high level of personal integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven success rate at levels above quotas.
- Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills.
