About the role

The Area Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations at both the Hampton Inn & Suites and SpringHill Suites Dulles properties. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are clean and operational.
• Manage and train maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve complex issues affecting guest satisfaction.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve property performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel maintenance management.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Experience with facility management software.
