About the role

We are responsible for the implementation of a new go-to-market strategy within the US Sanofi Vaccines business unit and are searching for several Area Business Managers to help shape a more agile, digital, and business-to-business-driven organization. The role will act as an “account orchestrator” to provide a cohesive customer experience, improve outcomes, and drive business results across a full portfolio of vaccines within customer segments (Pediatrics, Family/General Practice, IDN/IHNs, Health Systems, and Federally Qualified Health Centers). The ABM will demonstrate initiative, drive, and independence, taking ownership of their book of business while leveraging cross-functional support from internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Grow portfolio share and revenue to consistently deliver on product goals.
  • Serve as a therapeutic area expert, positioning and differentiating products effectively.
  • Collaborate with field-based stakeholders (Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access teammates, strategic account managers, Hospital business managers, etc.) to proactively address customer needs.
  • Identify market dynamics and trends, developing strategies to support brand and corporate objectives within assigned geography.
  • Engage with account and territory data, using insights to help HCPs operate more effectively.
  • Determine optimal ABM strategy for HCPs using AI and digital tools in an agile manner.
  • Drive results by identifying key opportunities and developing strategic business plans to generate product utilization and grow territory business.
  • Understand and differentiate portfolio contracting options and competitive offerings through financial presentations.
  • Perform according to a buy/bill model, including complex pricing analysis, product shipping, contract compliance, and securing amendments.
  • Adapt to changing environments and sales methodologies, including remote selling techniques.
  • Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
  • Maximize budget allocated to the geographic territory to support execution of strategies and tactics.
  • Participate in and lead initiatives to support sales success (e.g., industry congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of pharmaceutical, vaccines, life sciences, biotech, or medical device sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Availability to travel within the West Virginia Territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling vaccines, biologics, or injectables.
  • Experience with the buy and bill model.
  • Experience with CRM tools: Salesforce, Veeva/Viva One.
  • Broad understanding of the healthcare environment, decision-making processes, and market trends with a proven track record of accessing decision-makers.
  • Skills and success within a business-to-business environment.
  • Ability to navigate a hybrid environment and determine the optimal HCP selling model.
  • Experience with omnichannel approaches and executing customer engagement through appropriate channels using insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and data analytics.
  • Ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and prioritize multiple products.
  • Self-directed, organized, with excellent execution and planning skills.
  • Strong clinical and digital acumen.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
