About the role

Role Overview: As the Area BevCarb Manager (ABM), you will lead daily route operations, safety compliance, and team development for our bulk CO2 distribution network across Michigan and select areas of Indiana and Ohio. You will serve as the operational anchor at our Kentwood facility, managing direct driver routes, operational efficiencies, and P&L oversight, while spending time in the field through site visits and driver ride-alongs.

Responsibilities

  • Driver Management: Directly supervise, coach, and support a team of 8–10 Bulk CO2 Route Drivers to ensure high-quality, reliable customer service.
  • Dispatch & Routing: Plan, optimize, and execute efficient daily routing strategies utilizing fleet management and CRM tools.
  • Daily Check-Ins: Guide end-of-day driver debriefs—capturing service data, resolving equipment issues, and tracking paperwork accuracy.
  • Financial Accountability: Oversee local operational budgets and maintain P&L awareness to drive efficiency and cost performance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict compliance with DOT, HOS, OSHA, and FDA compressed gas guidelines across all operations.
  • Ride-Alongs & Audits: Regularly join drivers in the field for safety audits, route evaluations, and customer connection.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Manage shared oversight of assigned vehicles, bulk CO2 tanks, and delivery equipment to ensure peak operating condition.
  • Regional Travel: Travel up to 50% of the time across assigned territories (including Detroit and Traverse City) and attend quarterly leadership training meetings.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing route drivers, fleet logistics, or bulk transport operations.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing or contributing to operational P&L performance.
  • Tech Literacy: Experience working with telematics/fleet software (Geotab highly preferred), CRM/sales platforms (Salesforce), and enterprise systems (SAP or similar ERPs).
  • Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and FDA regulations specific to transport or compressed gases.

Qualifications

Location & Schedule: Based within daily commuting distance of the Kentwood, MI facility; flexible schedule to support field demands. Physical & Environmental Requirements: Comfort working in diverse outdoor weather conditions (ranging from -10°F to over 110°F). Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment weighing 25–75 lbs. routinely, and up to 100+ lbs. occasionally. Ability to perform prolonged physical activity (standing up to 8 hours, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, and kneeling). Familiarity navigating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and working in a drug-free environment.

Pay

Salary Range: Beginning at $85k-$95k with a 10% Bonus Incentive!
