Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader
About the role
We are seeking an Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader to take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers. You will collaborate on business class efforts with area and company operations, marketing, and management. You will also develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams. You will participate in and contribute to annual business plan development. You will partner with market sector and business group leadership in managing business plan goals throughout the year. Internally and externally, you will recruit, develop, and retain aviation staff in accordance with market sector needs and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers
- Collaborate on business class efforts with area and company operations, marketing, and management
- Develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams
- Contribute to annual business plan development
- Partner with market Sector and Business Group leadership in managing business plan goals throughout the year
- Internally and externally recruit, develop, and retain aviation staff in accordance with Market Sector needs and strategy
- Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations, workload leveling needs, and best-practice application
- Manage and improve technical competencies of Aviation business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers
- Oversee project teams to successfully deliver on a variety of projects
- Serve as an ambassador for our internal quality program for airfield design business class services, and oversee QA/QC procedures
- Oversee the writing of technical reports, presentations, and other materials
Requirements
- Proficient in aviation planning and design principles
- Demonstrated history in successfully leading teams on complex airport / airfield projects
- Experience with FAA and US DoD Aviation design criteria
- Experience with large, multi-disciplined programs at hub airports
- Geographic diversity of experience throughout the US
- Knowledge of aviation market in Florida including client relationships and past project experience
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as leadership, planning, and mentoring skills
- Master's degree
- PMP certification
- Preference given to local candidates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- 10 years of experience
- Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers on business class efforts
Skills
Preferred qualifications include proficiency in aviation planning and design principles, demonstrated history in leading complex airport / airfield projects, experience with FAA and US DoD Aviation design criteria, experience with large, multi-disciplined programs at hub airports, geographic diversity of experience throughout the US, knowledge of aviation market in Florida, excellent analytical and communication skills, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills, master's degree, PMP certification, and preference given to local candidates.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Salary is determined based on a number of factors including experience, education, and market conditions.
