Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader
About the role
We'll count on you to take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers. Collaborate on business class efforts with area and company operations, marketing and management. Develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams. Participate in and contribute to annual business plan development. Partner with market Sector and Business Group leadership in managing business plan goals throughout the year. Internally and externally recruit, develop and retain aviation staff in accordance with Market Sector needs and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers
- Collaborate on business class efforts with area and company operations, marketing and management
- Develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams
- Contribute to annual business plan development
- Partner with market Sector and Business Group leadership in managing business plan goals throughout the year
- Internally and externally recruit, develop and retain aviation staff in accordance with Market Sector needs and strategy
Requirements
- Proficient in aviation planning and design principles
- Demonstrated history in successfully leading teams on complex airport / airfield projects
- Experience with FAA and US DoD Aviation design criteria
- Experience with large, multi-disciplined programs at hub airports
- Geographic diversity of experience throughout the US
- Knowledge of aviation market in Florida including client relationships and past project experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as leadership, planning and mentoring skills
- Master's degree
- PMP certification
- Preference given to local candidates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- 10 years of experience
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
Skills
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field, 10 years of experience, and a commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in aviation planning and design principles, demonstrated history in leading complex airport projects, and experience with FAA and US DoD Aviation design criteria.
