Internship21 East 70th Street, New York, NY 10021Posted 1 hour ago$30 / Hour Website Vilcek Foundation Summary The Archival Intern supports the Vilcek Foundation’s archive in preserving and providing public and internal access to organizational records and ephemera through digitizing and cataloging efforts. This position will provide creative and technical support related to scanning, metadata entry, and archival material handling. Key Details Compensation: $30/hour Schedule: FT Deadline: September 30, 2026 Eligibility Qualifications Current master’s graduate student or recent graduate in Library Science, Art History, or a related field, or equivalent experienceStrong interest in arts, culture, immigration, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sectorExcellent written communication skills with attention to tone and institutional voiceAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentThe candidate must be authorized to work in the United States Additional Skills And Experience Knowledge of archival theory preferredKnowledge of digital asset management systems preferredExperience with finding aids preferredExperience handling archival material preferredProficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets)Comfort working in a Mac-based environmentAbility to lift up to 25 lbs About The Vilcek Foundation raises awareness of immigrant contributions in the United States and fosters appreciation of the arts and sciences.
