Job Summary

Gray Design Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Associate to support the architecture team in the execution and coordination of projects. This role will assist project managers in documentation, scheduling, communication, and quality control to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet firm standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers in developing project schedules, deliverables, and documentation
  • Cook up communication among internal teams, consultants, and clients
  • Help maintain project records, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence
  • Support project teams in quality control reviews and model checks
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute project documentation
  • Maintain clear documentation of project decisions, meeting notes, and design iterations to ensure transparency and continuity
  • Aid in preparing presentations, drawings, and reports for client meetings
  • Ensure proper filing and version control of project files and digital assets
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning discussions
  • Support staff onboarding and training in project processes and software tools
  • Aid in implementing firm-wide standards and procedures
  • Actively participate in internal learning sessions, design critiques, and cross-team knowledge sharing to foster continuous growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in architecture or design firms preferred
  • Experience supporting project teams and managing documentation is a plus
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality deliverables
  • Professional communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Office-based role at Gray Design Group’s St. Louis location with occasional site visits as required by projects
  • Standard weekday working hours with occasional flexibility for project deadlines or client meetings
  • Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Light lifting or file movement required for project documentation organization
