Architectural Project Manager (Education) - San Antonio

About the role

The Progressive Architectural Team at our San Antonio, TX office seeks a talented Project Manager with experience in team leadership, direction, programming, design, coordination, technical execution/oversight, and client relationship. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability of Project Architect, Project Manager and/or Program Manager responsibilities, and a diversified knowledge of architectural principles and practices. Experience with Educational (K12 and/or Higher Education) projects is required, and Healthcare / Commercial / Institutional market experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective verbal, graphic, and written communication with clients that support positive, long-term relationships.
• Plan, direct and supervise the architectural team members and coordinate consultant responsibilities of studies, design or construction documents of various scale projects.
• Interpret, organize, execute and coordinate the development of individual or multiple projects, maintaining oversight to achieve goals of the firm.
• Assist in the creation and continued development of design concepts through all phases of design.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience, inclusive of 4 years of experience in K12 Education design
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program/school
• Registered Architect in the State of Texas is preferred
• Candidates with related or similar professional experience will be considered
• Strong, comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles/practices, including project financial, schedule and resource planning
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures
• Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Engaging Communication style with clients, teams and consultants
• Must be quality minded and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities with intentional schedules
• Experience and proficiency with educational projects preferred
• Healthcare / Commercial / Institutional market experience is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with sustainability standards, Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma and Office Suite is preferred
