Architectural Designer (Education) - San Antonio

Location: San Antonio, TX | Reports to: Education Practice Leader

About the role

Our progressive Architecture Team seeks a talented Architectural Designer for our San Antonio, Texas office. Architectural Designers have a passion for designing Education environments, finding the Mission for each client. Whether the project is small or large, a candidate will thrive on creating solutions that make these spaces better for the people who occupy them. Responsibilities

• Collaborate on education projects from concept to complete construction documents
• Document design work for construction documents
• Develop and maintain effective verbal, graphic, and written communication with clients that support positive, long-term relationships
• Assist in the creation and continued development of design concepts through all phases of design

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience (Education experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of the design process
• Ability to work through fast-paced projects
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks
• General knowledge of materials and products relevant to project work
• Independent problem-solving
• Advanced technical skills in relevant software programs
• Ability to project a professional presence and demeanor
• Ability to work in a highly visible, team-oriented environment
• Collaborate with in-house teams across our three offices

Skills

• Proficient in: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Revit, and Adobe Suite
• Preferred knowledge: Newforma Project Center, SketchUp, and MS Office 365
