Architectural Project Coordinator

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the technical design of senior living projects from schematic design through construction to maintain standards of excellence. Technical design responsibilities include drawing documentation, specifications, consultant coordination and construction administration including shop drawings, submittals and contractor coordination / direction as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of projects from schematic design through construction
• Produce drawing documentation and specifications
• Coordinate with consultants
• Perform construction administration including shop drawings, submittals and contractor coordination / direction as required
• Perform project due diligence, preparing applicable code analysis related to projects
• Support a Project Manager while being responsible to lead and manage portions of a project independently
• Lead client meetings
• Train and mentor younger staff
• Contribute to the permitting and bid processes
• Manage time to meet project deadlines and budgets
• Travel to project sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience
• 3-7 years of experience in architectural practice
• Senior Living, Multifamily and/or Hospitality project experience preferred
• Architectural registration desired or on path to licensure
• Must have architecture experience with projects in the USA
• Must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or current Employment Authorization Document Holder with NO visa sponsorships required now or in the future

Skills

• Proficient in Revit (must have experience putting together full sets of CD's using Revit)
• Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft programs is a must
• Capable of coordinating with consultants and communicating with clients
• Ability to lead client meetings
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere and meet deadlines
• Detail oriented with a commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity of information
• Can work well with all levels of teammates
• Desire to mentor and teach emerging professionals
• Ability to train and mentor younger staff
