We are seeking a highly accomplished Architectural Principal to join our Atlanta-based team and help shape the future of the built environment across the Americas East region. This is a highly visible leadership position for a recognized architectural professional who combines design excellence, technical expertise, strategic growth leadership, and strong client relationships. The successful candidate will drive architectural innovation while building and expanding key client partnerships, developing winning pursuit strategies, mentoring emerging talent, and delivering exceptional project outcomes across multiple market sectors. As Architectural Principal, you will collaborate closely with Operations leadership, Market Growth teams, Client Account Managers, and Architecture leaders throughout Jacobs to advance regional strategy, strengthen market presence, and position Jacobs as the architect, consultant, and delivery partner of choice. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while helping shape and execute long-term growth strategies across Corporate + Commercial, Higher Education, Hospitality, Science & Technology, Aviation/Transit, and Urban Regeneration markets. What You'll Do Client & Market Leadership Cultivate, strengthen, and expand long-term client relationships through trusted advisory engagement and differentiated value propositions.Serve as a visible representative of Jacobs with clients, industry organizations, conferences, and professional associations.Develop deep understanding of client objectives, business drivers, capital programs, and operational challenges to align Jacobs' solutions with their strategic needs. Strategic Growth & Pursuit Leadership Lead with a seller-doer mindset by identifying, assessing, and pursuing strategic opportunities that drive sustainable growth.Partner with Market Growth Directors and Client Account Managers to develop client engagement plans and growth strategies.Lead pursuit planning, capture strategy development, and differentiated value propositions for major opportunities. Help prioritize opportunities aligned with Jacobs' strategic objectives.Lead or support proposal development, team formation, fee strategy, interview preparation, and client presentations.Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities to position Jacobs for long-term success Architectural Leadership & Design Excellence Champion innovative, sustainable, and high-performing architectural solutions across all project phases. Lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering transformative projects that create meaningful client and community impact.Drive design quality and technical excellence while balancing creativity, project performance, and client objectives.Promote design innovation and continuous improvement across the architectural practice Project Delivery & Operations Maintain accountability for overall project health, including financial performance, schedule adherence, quality, safety, staffing, and client satisfaction.Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed to maintain successful outcomes.Ensure multidisciplinary teams are fully staffed and positioned for successful delivery Thought Leadership & Talent Development Contribute market insights, industry expertise, and strategic perspectives that advance Jacobs' market position.Mentor, coach, and develop architectural professionals and emerging leaders.Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on inclusion, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.Participate in Communities of Practice and share best practices across regional and global teams What You Bring To The Table You are a respected architectural leader with a strong combination of design expertise, client relationship skills, business acumen, and growth leadership. You understand how to build trusted partnerships, win strategic work, inspire teams, and successfully deliver complex projects. Here's what you'll need Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.Registered Architect (RA).15+ years of experience within the AEC industry in a client-facing architectural leadership role.Proven experience delivering projects across multiple markets, including Corporate + Commercial, Hospitality, Higher Education, Science & Technology, Aviation, Sports & Entertainment, and Urban Regeneration.Demonstrated success leading complex multidisciplinary projects and teams.Minimum 5 years of leadership responsibility involving direct client engagement and project oversight.Strong business development, networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Proven experience supporting or leading major pursuits, proposals, and client presentations.Strong understanding of project financial management, delivery metrics, and operational performance.Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary, multi-office, and Global Integrated Delivery environments Ideally, You'll Also Have Master's Degree in Architecture.NCARB Certification.Established industry profile with active involvement in professional organizations.Experience developing thought leadership content and presenting at industry conferences or events.Demonstrated record of influencing strategic wins, market growth, and client satisfaction outcomes Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
