About the Role

The Architectural Inspector is responsible for inspections and quality assurance to ensure full compliance in repairs and reconstruction. They perform on-site inspections verifying structural integrity, materials, and workmanship to ensure projects comply with requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily quality control inspections, milestone inspections, and final inspections of projects to certify compliance with established milestones.
  • Ensure the safety and occupational health of projects, verifying OSHA requirements and standards are met.
  • Offer guidance to field personnel.
  • Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and specifications.
  • Visit projects to verify established construction plans and standards are met.
  • Take photos of projects for documentation.
  • Design architectural and/or structural drawings and specifications as needed.
  • Schedule inspections, maintain records, and update project progression.
  • Prepare and file a report after each inspection.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in civil engineering or completion of a blueprint reading course.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction, inspection, architectural design, and/or structural drawings reading (preferred).
  • Considerable knowledge of construction management, inspection methods, and materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
