Responsibilities
- Lead design development and construction documentation for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal team members to develop thoughtful and effective design solutions.
- Create compelling conceptual, schematic, and presentation materials that communicate design intent.
- Maintain project quality standards through ongoing quality control and document review.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, and industry best practices.
- Cook up project documentation and design efforts across multiple concurrent projects.
- Mentor and support emerging design professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design workshops.
- Absorb project management staff with schedules, design deliverables, and project coordination.
- Conduct site visits as needed to support design reviews and project objectives.
- Research emerging materials, technologies, and design trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Five to ten years of architecture design experience.
- Licensed Architect preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and related architectural design software.
- Demonstrated experience in design development and construction documentation.
- Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning requirements, and construction standards.
- Knowledge of ADA accessibility requirements and inclusive design principles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong graphic and visual presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts using current and emerging software technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
Preferred Experience
- Ideal candidate will have site planning and project management experience.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing both design creativity and technical excellence.
- Experience mentoring junior designers and supporting team development.
- Ability to independently manage complex design tasks with minimal supervision.
