Responsibilities

  • Lead design development and construction documentation for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal team members to develop thoughtful and effective design solutions.
  • Create compelling conceptual, schematic, and presentation materials that communicate design intent.
  • Maintain project quality standards through ongoing quality control and document review.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, and industry best practices.
  • Cook up project documentation and design efforts across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Mentor and support emerging design professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design workshops.
  • Absorb project management staff with schedules, design deliverables, and project coordination.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to support design reviews and project objectives.
  • Research emerging materials, technologies, and design trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Five to ten years of architecture design experience.
  • Licensed Architect preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and related architectural design software.
  • Demonstrated experience in design development and construction documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning requirements, and construction standards.
  • Knowledge of ADA accessibility requirements and inclusive design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong graphic and visual presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts using current and emerging software technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Ideal candidate will have site planning and project management experience.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both design creativity and technical excellence.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and supporting team development.
  • Ability to independently manage complex design tasks with minimal supervision.
