About the role
As an Architectural Designer, you'll work closely with the Director of Architecture & Design to help bring new restaurant locations from concept to completion. You'll support design development, consultant coordination, drawing production, materials selection, and construction administration across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and execution of new restaurant developments from site evaluation through opening.
- Develop layouts, design packages, finish schedules, and project documentation.
- Cook up with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and contractors throughout the design process.
- Review drawing sets for completeness, brand standards, and cross-discipline coordination.
- Aid with permitting and consultant coordination efforts.
- Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, and field observations.
- Research and source materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting, and signage.
- Maintain project files, documentation, and prototype design standards.
- Conduct site visits to document existing conditions, construction progress, and completed projects.
- Collaborate with Construction, Operations, Facilities, Marketing, and Real Estate teams to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
- 2 years minimum of experience in architecture, interior design, restaurant/retail design, or project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read, produce, and coordinate construction drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; Rhino, Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes.
- Experience with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations, is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience preferred.
- Comfortable working both in the office and on active construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
