Architect/Senior Principal Engineer - Oracle SaaS

About the role

Seeking a Senior Principal Engineer (Architect) to lead the design and development of high-availability and resilient SaaS services within a fast-paced, innovative environment. This role involves driving service continuity solutions across infrastructure, database, platform, and application layers, ensuring uninterrupted service during large-scale incidents. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop distributed systems that operate at scale, contributing to next-generation availability and resiliency features.

Responsibilities

• Architecting and building fault-tolerant, scalable systems
• Leading technical strategy for service continuity solutions
• Collaborating on distributed cloud infrastructure and platform design
• Contributing to product strategy and innovative features for SaaS environments
• Working with multiple engineering teams to implement high-availability systems

Qualifications

• MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• 10+ years in system/application architecture, with database, infrastructure, and networking expertise
• 6+ years in software development within cloud engineering
• Strong experience in SaaS/PaaS engineering and large-scale application development

Skills

• Proficiency in Java, C++, or similar OO languages
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting (Python)
• Expertise in building fault-tolerant, resilient systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
• Knowledge of distributed computing and cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of multi-region, multi-availability domain architectures
• Strong team collaboration and customer communication skills
