Architect / Designer 7+ Years Experience
About the role
Kostow Greenwood Architects is a dedicated studio focused on work in the performing arts, media, broadcast, and real estate development industries. We encourage continuing education for all team members, provide NCARB/AXP experience fulfillment, and offer paid time to take ARE exams.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead projects from concept design through construction administration with limited principal oversight.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and represent KGA in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and agencies.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, teams, schedules, and consultant coordination simultaneously.
- Produce and oversee complex drawing sets with minimal supervision.
- Mentor and manage junior staff and foster strong team collaboration.
- Exercise strong design, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Use advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and additional software experience including Rhino, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Coordinate across multiple consultant disciplines and have familiarity with building systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of post-graduate professional experience in an architecture office.
- A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- NYS architectural licensure strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, ADA, zoning, and NYC filing/review processes, with experience on built projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Additional software experience including Rhino, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with building systems and ability to coordinate across multiple consultant disciplines.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
