Architect-Associate (Data Centers)
About the role
Your role will include delivering excellence in all phases of projects, from planning through construction administration and close-out, maintaining firm-wide quality standards while working closely with technical leadership and engineering discipline leads to understand design intent and goals for successful implementation for various building design projects.
Responsibilities
- Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients in a variety of industries (examples include data center, commercial and advanced manufacturing)
- Apply knowledge of architectural design
- Work on zoning, building codes, and building systems and materials
- Utilize technical expertise to mentor other professionals including less experienced Architects and Designers
- Deliver excellence in all phases of projects, from planning through construction administration and close-out
- Maintain firm-wide quality standards while working closely with technical leadership and engineering discipline leads
- Understand design intent and goals for successful implementation for various building design projects
- Design advanced facilities (Data Centers, Life Science or other Industrial Facilities that also include office environments)
Requirements
- Bachelor in Architecture from an accredited Architectural Program
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office and Adobe suite
- Extensive experience with building codes and other regulations
- Understanding of scopes of work, developing budgets, and reviewing schedules
- Able to work well across multiple teams and lead small architectural teams
- Able to travel to project sites in the US
Qualifications
- Masters in Architecture
- Professional Architectural License and be able to be licensed in multiple states
- Experience with designing advanced facilities (Data Centers, Life Science or other Industrial Facilities that also include office environments)
- Participation in professional organizations
- LEED AP credentials

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office and Adobe suite
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $125,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This is a hybrid all US location opportunity, allowing candidates the flexibility to work remotely and report into a local Jacobs office for team meetings and collaboration.
