Architect-Associate (Data Centers)
About the role
Your role will include delivering excellence in all phases of projects, from planning through construction administration and close-out, maintaining firm-wide quality standards while working closely with technical leadership and engineering discipline leads to understand design intent and goals for successful implementation for various building design projects.
Responsibilities
- Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients in a variety of industries (examples include data center, commercial and advanced manufacturing).
- Apply knowledge of architectural design.
- Work on zoning, building codes, and building systems and materials.
- Utilize technical expertise to mentor other professionals including less experienced Architects and Designers working closely with technical and engineering discipline leads.
- Deliver advanced technology facilities with clients and produce cutting edge design solutions supporting the development of AI and other critical facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Architecture from an accredited Architectural Program.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office and Adobe suite.
- Extensive experience with building codes and other regulations.
- Understanding of scopes of work, developing budgets, and reviewing schedules.
- Ability to work well across multiple teams and lead small architectural teams.
- Ability to travel to project sites in the US.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate should ideally be located near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.
- Masters in Architecture.
- Professional Architectural License and be able to be licensed in multiple states.
- Experience with designing advanced facilities (Data Centers, Life Science or other Industrial Facilities that also include office environments).
- Participation in professional organizations.
- LEED AP credentials.
Skills
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a deep understanding of sustainable design principles and practices.
- Be proficient in using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
- Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $125,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This is a hybrid all US location opportunity, allowing candidates the flexibility to work remotely and report into a local Jacobs office for team meetings and collaboration.
