ArcGIS Enterprise Specialist - Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ArcGIS Enterprise specialist to support a Brisbane-based organisation undertaking an upgrade of its ArcGIS Enterprise environment from version 11.1 to 11.5. This is a hands-on contract opportunity for someone who understands ArcGIS Enterprise architecture and administration and can provide additional technical capability during the planning, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting associated with the upgrade.

The client already has an established environment and team. They are looking for an experienced extra pair of eyes and hands who can quickly understand the existing deployment, identify potential issues, and help ensure the upgrade is completed successfully and with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the existing ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 environment and architecture
• Assisting with upgrade planning and readiness assessments
• Identifying dependencies, compatibility considerations, and potential upgrade risks
• Supporting the upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5
• Working across components including:
  • ArcGIS Enterprise Portal
  • ArcGIS Server
  • ArcGIS Data Store
  • Web Adaptors
• Reviewing federated servers and hosted services
• Troubleshooting configuration, publishing, and service issues
• Supporting testing and validation following the upgrade
• Reviewing existing services, applications, and integrations for compatibility
• Assisting with backup, recovery, and rollback considerations
• Providing technical advice and recommendations to the existing team
• Documenting changes, issues, and configuration decisions where required

Requirements

We are particularly interested in people with strong practical experience administering and supporting Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments. Ideally, you will bring experience with several of the following:

• ArcGIS Enterprise installation, configuration, and administration
• ArcGIS Enterprise upgrades and migrations
• Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server
• ArcGIS Data Store
• Federated and hosting server configurations
• Enterprise Geodatabases
• ArcGIS Pro publishing workflows
• Web services and REST-based troubleshooting
• SSL certificates, DNS, authentication, and Web Adaptors
• Windows Server environments
• Backup and disaster recovery processes
• Troubleshooting complex Enterprise GIS environments

Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x, and particularly previous Enterprise upgrade projects, would be highly regarded.

You don't necessarily need to tick every box. The priority is finding someone with genuine hands-on ArcGIS Enterprise experience who is comfortable investigating issues, working collaboratively with an existing team, and helping get an upgrade safely across the line.

Location
