About the role
The Attractions Attendant works in various attractions at Great Wolf Lodge, such as the Arcade, Ropes Course, MagiQuest, Moonstone Mine sluice, Bowling, Rock Wall, and other attractions within the Family Entertainment Center. Their responsibilities include ensuring customer safety and satisfaction, educating guests on attractions, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with guests for transactions, processing registrations, and completing orders.
- Educate guests on the Ropes Course, Rock Wall, and other physical experiences, proper technique, and safety guidelines.
- Educate guests on game play and wand operation for MagiQuest.
- Maintain the daily operation of the MagiQuest game; document and escalate any game operation or effect issues to the Retail Manager on Duty.
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting of equipment to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Outfit participants with correct safety equipment, make adjustments, and properly attach equipment.
- Inspect all safety equipment to ensure proper function.
- Absess and assist in possible emergency situations and help scared participants.
- Ensure the daily operation adheres to operating procedure guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service and engage in suggestive selling.
- Assist in merchandising functions including display and store design, inventory receiving, stocking, and merchandise pricing.
- Perform cash-handling functions, including point-of-sale (POS) system, registers, and daily reporting.
- Ensure attraction adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
- To work on the Ropes Course, candidates must successfully complete ropes course and annual training covering operating procedures and technical competencies.
- Assist in other retail outlets/attractions as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to work in other Attractions areas.
- Must be at least 18 years old to work on the Ropes Course.
- Must be comfortable being at heights of 30 feet or more for extended periods of time.
- Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands.
- Must have some high school education or equivalent.
- Must have proven customer service skills and communication skills; able to read and interpret English language manuals relating to safety, operations, and procedures.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen.
Qualifications
- Must have previous experience demonstrating strong customer service.
- Must have previous experience with cash transactions and Point of Sale systems.
- Must have proven teamwork skills.
- Must be enthusiastic and energetic.
- Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
Skills
- Basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to assess and assist in possible emergency situations and help scared participants.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time, climb multiple flights of stairs multiple times daily, bend, twist, and stretch, and fully extend arms overhead.
- Dexterity to pinch/squeeze with force.

Estimated Salary Range: $17.28 annual base salary
The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf's total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
