About the Role

Oversee daily accounts receivable (AR) and collections operations for a US division of a growing manufacturing organization. Manage both onshore and offshore team members, ensure timely cash collection, resolve complex issues, and improve AR processes. Act as the main link between finance leadership and the AR/collections teams, driving performance, consistency, and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily AR and collections work, including follow-ups, dispute resolution, and cash applications.
  • Review aging reports and collection metrics; identify accounts that need attention.
  • Handle escalated or complex collection issues.
  • Ensure all collections follow company policies and credit terms.
  • Work with billing, credit, and cash application teams to fix issues that delay payments.
  • Manage a blended team across multiple locations and time zones, setting expectations, assigning work, and monitoring performance.
  • Lead regular check-ins, coaching, and performance discussions.
  • Ensure strong communication and alignment between US and offshore teams.
  • Maintain consistent coverage and smooth operations across time zones.
  • Maintain and enforce standard AR procedures.
  • Identify process gaps and lead improvements to reduce DSO and increase efficiency.
  • Support AR-related projects, tracking milestones and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Promote best practices across all teams and help evaluate and implement AR automation tools.
  • Report key AR metrics to division leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with sales, customer service, finance, and shared services.
  • Communicate professionally with customers about outstanding balances and disputes.
  • Support finance leadership with cash forecasting and period-end reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of AR/Collections experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing an offshore team (5-10+ employees).
  • Background in large, multi-entity organizations is a plus.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (D365, AX, etc.) and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with automation tools preferred.
  • History of job stability.

Pay

$75,000-85,000/year. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
