Collection AR Supervisor

About the Role

Responsible for supporting the AR Manager and supervising collection specialists to effectively collect outstanding balances due from third-party payers. Must be an effective communicator who can express themselves professionally both verbally and in writing, and a proactive professional who identifies collection trends and resolves them in a timely manner. Keeps informed on all current Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor regulations and requirements, informing management and staff of changes while keeping documentation current and accessible. Manages, motivates, and supervises team members. Performs other assigned duties as required.

Requirements

• Results-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• At least 3 years of medical collections experience preferred
• Able to develop and maintain good communication and establish positive working relationships with staff, payers, peers, and leadership
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to analyze claims to determine outstanding reimbursement due
• Ability to organize work and manage change
