About the role
We are looking to hire a Workers’ Compensation Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to support timely and accurate WC claim resolution. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable managing claim follow-up, researching denials, and working independently in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, validate, and submit Workers’ Compensation claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform follow-up on outstanding WC claims to ensure prompt reimbursement
- Research denials and rejections; prepare and submit appeals or corrected claims as needed
- Communicate with employers, adjusters, and WC payers to resolve payment delays and obtain required documentation
- Ensure compliance with state WC regulations, payer policies, and timely filing requirements
- Maintain AR aging targets and productivity standards
- Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to secure medical records, authorizations, and supporting documentation
- Maintain clear, accurate claim notes and documentation of payer correspondence and resolution activity
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Workers’ Compensation billing and AR follow-up experience
- Experience working with third-party WC administrators and state-specific WC portals
- Familiarity with CMS-1500, UB-04 (if applicable), and WC-specific billing forms
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and modifier usage related to WC claims
- Prior experience in hospital or multi-specialty group revenue cycle operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
