AR Regional Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - Onsite Wednesday & Thursday)

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $24-$25/hour

About the role

We are seeking an AR Regional Specialist to join a growing accounting team in Charlotte, NC. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with internal teams to ensure timely collections, accurate cash application, and strong customer relationships. Experience with SAP is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable process for an assigned region or portfolio of customers.
• Process and apply daily cash receipts, ACH payments, wire transfers, and checks accurately.
• Monitor customer accounts and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to minimize aging.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, deductions, and billing issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and prepare account analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal departments to resolve customer inquiries.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation.
• Support month-end close activities, including AR reconciliations and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Cash Application experience.
• Experience working within a high-volume accounting environment.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with customer account reconciliations and dispute resolution.
• Prior experience supporting regional or multi-location accounts.
• Exposure to ERP systems in addition to SAP is a plus.

Schedule

• Hybrid schedule with onsite work every Wednesday and Thursday in the Charlotte, NC office.
• Standard Monday-Friday business hours.
