AR Manager
About the role
Location: Bedford, OH. Our client is a well-established organization seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead its AR function and team. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the full receivables process, analyzing complex customer accounts, improving processes, and partnering across departments to resolve issues. Take ownership of the full accounts receivable and credit function; lead, develop, and support an established AR team; gain visibility with senior leadership and collaborate closely with Sales and Accounting; drive improvements around AR reporting, controls, automation, and process efficiency; manage complex, high-volume customer accounts and play a key role in credit and risk decisions; hybrid flexibility, PTO, competitive bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounts receivable operations, including cash application, billing, collections, deductions, and account reconciliation
- Review AR aging and customer accounts to ensure payments are received and applied accurately and timely
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and complex customer account issues
- Lead AR meetings with Sales and leadership to review key accounts, outstanding balances, and collection activity
- Prepare monthly AR reports, aging analysis, dashboards, and management reporting
- Support month-end and year-end close processes and annual audits
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably with significant Accounts Receivable experience
- Previous experience leading or managing an accounting/AR team

Pay
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000+
