AR Billing - Payment Poster

About the role

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Medical AR Billing - Payment Poster. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Balancing cash daily
• Payment posting and matching
• Work closed and pending batch Zero Report
• Closing and updating daily payment batches
• Resolving payments with missing Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
• Performing appropriate follow-up with payor for payment as appropriate
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Education required: HS/GED
• Experience: 2+ years’ experience in medical cash posting and an understanding of the A/R cycle preferred. Minimum two years AR experience required/preferred. Experience with HIPAA and compliance-sensitive environments preferred

Qualifications

• Proficient with EMR/PM systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, billing software, 10-key, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
• Outstanding organizational, time management and writing skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Independent, self-starting and highly motivated
• Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history
