About the role
Arlington County Aquatics is seeking reliable, enthusiastic, positive individuals who can work with children of all ages. Our successful, well-established program offers programs starting from parent and tot classes through preschool and level classes based on the American Red Cross program. Specialty programs include diving, water aerobics, adapted, and beginner, intermediate and advanced adult classes. Arlington Aquatics also offers a competitive swim team (Arlington Aquatic Club) which is an affiliated USA Swimming program for developmental, conditioning and competitive swimmers.
Responsibilities
- Work with children of all ages in various aquatic programs
- Teach American Red Cross certified classes
- Assist with specialty programs such as diving, water aerobics, adapted, and adult classes
- Support the Arlington Aquatic Club as part of an affiliated USA Swimming program
Requirements
- Reliable and enthusiastic personality
- Positive attitude towards working with children
- Ability to teach American Red Cross certified classes
- Knowledge of specialty programs such as diving, water aerobics, adapted, and adult classes
- Experience with USA Swimming affiliated swim teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- First aid and CPR certification
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with children of all ages
- Knowledge of American Red Cross and USA Swimming programs
