Essential Functions
- Maintains pool chemical levels and water temperature.
- Vacuums and skims the pool.
- Cleans deck areas, restrooms, locker rooms, walkways, and pool furniture.
- Stocks paper goods.
- Maintains related documentation.
- Monitors lifeguards, senior lifeguards, and aquatics instructors.
- Opens and closes facility.
- Maintains cleanliness of the building.
- Monitors staff coverage for programs and events.
- Provides exceptional service to the community.
- Prepares lesson plans.
- Taught and demonstrated various swimming skills.
- Tested participants.
- Made recommendations for future classes and skills development.
- Monitored safety of participants during classes.
- Aids in ensuring lifeguard staff is properly trained.
- Aids in ensuring lifeguard staff can perform water rescue techniques.
- Aids in ensuring lifeguard staff can provide First Aid or CPR if necessary.
- Aids in ensuring lifeguard staff is teaching skills at appropriate levels.
- Aids in ensuring lifeguard staff is conducting classes appropriately for age and skill level.
- Provided information and answered questions about pool policies, procedures, programs, fees, etc.
- Responded to questions and complaints.
- Initiated problem resolution.
- Maintained adherence to safety procedures.
- Monitored work environment and use of safety equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience in lifeguarding and aquatics instruction.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license.
- Certified Lifeguard.
- Certified in CPR & First Aid.
