Responsibilities
- Assist the Aquatic Education Section with fishing clinics, rodeos, Trout in the Classroom, SCDNR Youth Bass Tournament, Fishing Tackle Loaner Program, and Black Bass Slam.
- Manage and maintain equipment.
- Collect and manage data (computer-based), including preparation of data for analysis.
- Develop and organize educational materials and assist in coordination between Fisheries and Graphics.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Relevant program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic working knowledge of South Carolina freshwater fisheries, fish identification, sampling, and protocols.
- Ability to work under potentially adverse weather conditions.
- Competency in computer word processing and data management programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to work varying hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to swim and feel comfortable in and around water in all weather conditions.
