Aquarium & Aviary Service Representative

About the role

We are a rapidly growing aquarium and aviary service company. Our customers look to us to create a very serene and engaging environment for their residents/customers to enjoy. This particular role will primarily be servicing aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to read and write in English
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities
• Able to travel in your service area radius
• Heavy lifting and maneuvering is required
• Flexibility is a must!
• Driver's License required
• High School education is preferred
• Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude

Qualifications, skills, and experience

• Experience in fish keeping and/or bird keeping preferred
• Great attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to continually adjust priorities to match the business need
• Strong work ethic along with being on time and maintaining good attendance
• Ability to successfully communicate and contribute in a team oriented environment

Schedule

• Part-time position
• Work is typically done during business hours of 8am to 7pm but is flexible
• Hours will vary from month to month but will average around 8-16 hours a month
• Shift: Day shift

From $25.00 per hour

Additional details

• Travel in a 100 mile radius of Peekskill, NY will be required. Furthest current accounts are Clifton, NJ (55 miles) & Wappingers Falls, NY (55 Miles)
• Cities will include: Wappingers Falls, NY; Newburgh, NY; Pompton Plains, NJ; Clifton, NJ; Beacon, NY; Croton, NY; Maplewood, NJ
• Mileage reimbursement is paid while driving. Hourly Wage is not paid during driving
• Due to work being performed in long term care homes, masking/goggles may be required
• Storing 50# bags of bedding and seed along with 2-3 27 gallon totes of supplies will be required for the job
• This is an entry level position that requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly; heavy lifting, bending, and many physical demands are involved
