APU Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Initiate the QRQC in VIM database – participate in the containment and validate the robustness of the containment
• Support APU Managers / Site Manager in the analysis of issues assigned in the QRQC activities
• Update the APU quality tracking charts: Customer Returns, Cost of Non Quality, etc.
• Perform audits on the line to detect non-respect of the Standard and identify actions with the APU to comply
• Participate in the eradication of Customer issues and Non Quality issues
• Ensure QRQC meeting rules are respected, including “Stop at first disagree” and “Stop at first no”
• Perform revision of the control plan after an issue
• Verify 4M matrix respect regarding product or process changes and ensure customer awareness and approval
• Update quality documents following a process-related change
• Verify continuous conformance of the process to generate product to specification (machine capability, yearly product audit, etc.)
• Stop manufacturing/assembly lines if Standards are not respected or if safety/quality risks are detected, including following LLC Stability audits below 100%
• Represent the Customer within Valeo on Quality matters (communication/escalation)
• Report to the APU Quality Leader without superseding their authority or that of the Site Quality Manager
• Manage PD, CA, and closure for Internal Suppliers incidents
• Lead customer communication in a multinational, multi-time zone environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering
• 2+ years in Quality Engineering experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Automotive industry experience
