APU Product Line Sales Manager
About the role
The APU Product Line Sales Manager will work directly with the sales team to achieve sales and revenue goals. Design and recommend sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive APU sales revenue performance, including pipeline development, quote conversion, and order execution
- Manage all aspects of APU sales, repairs, and inventory strategy to support revenue growth and margin objectives
- Actively pursue and close APU sales opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up, competitive positioning, and high conversion rates
- Support sales team members in meeting APU-related customer requirements
- Proactively develop and maintain Jet Midwest’s APU product line inventory with a focus on sales velocity and market demand
- Identify and target prospective customers in collaboration with Sales and Business Development teams, with a focus on new revenue generation
- Travel as needed to support APU programs with customers and vendors to secure business, strengthen customer relationships, and expand APU sales programs
- Prepare pricing, establish credit terms, and generate sales contracts for secured orders
- Analyze market data to assess customer needs, sales volume potential, pricing strategies, and discount structures; develop targeted sales campaigns aligned with company goals
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and conferences to promote the APU product line to generate leads and expand APU sales opportunities
- Monitor and control costs to ensure alignment with margin and profitability targets
- Collaborate with internal departments (Repairs, Programs, Technical) to assist in the development of manuals and technical publications
- Prepare and present periodic sales reports outlining sales performance and future opportunities
Requirements
You have 5+ years of proven aviation industry sales management experience, preferably in the aftermarket parts sector. Technical knowledge and familiarity with APU’s such as GTCP331-200, GTCP331-350, GTCP331-500, PW901, PW980, 131-9. In-depth knowledge and experience with sales methodology and excellent closing and negotiation skills. Service-minded and invested in relationship building with your customers/team and have outstanding communication skills. Able to prioritize and manage multiple or conflicting priorities appropriately. Love working with a commission structure that puts you in charge of your paycheck. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Takes initiative and is self-motivated. Significant ability to multi-task
Qualifications
While performing the responsibilities of APU Product Line Sales Manager, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, most of your workday. Less than 5% of your job duties will require the ability to: walk long distances, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The noise level is usually low, as consistent with an office environment. At times, some light lifting may be required, up to 10 lb.
