APR / PA INPATIENT - NEUROSURGERY FIRST ASSISTANT

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Neurosurgery Clinic, managing patients with complex cranial, spine, and general neurosurgical conditions. Key Responsibilities Include Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans within scope of practicePerform patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic proceduresOrder, interpret tests, and explain procedures to patients and familiesManage pre- and post-operative care, including documentation and medication managementCollaborate with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous patient careProvide patient education on preventive care and medical issuesSupport research activities and incorporate current findings into practicePromote patient safety by following protocols and proactively addressing safety concernsMentor and serve as a clinical resource for staff and medical colleagues Qualifications Include Graduate of an advanced nursing or Physician Assistant programAt least 1 year of relevant experienceLicensed as an Advanced Practice RN or Physician Assistant with NCCPA certificationCPR/BLS, ACLS/PALS, and prescriptive authority in the stateState and federal DEA certificationAbility to perform medium physical work and adhere to safety protocols This role offers opportunities for professional growth, with benefits such as sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
