About the role

Professional Tree Care is hiring physically fit trainees for a Grounds-to-Climber Apprenticeship program. This self‑paced program is designed for self‑starters who gather with work mates on weekends to learn knots, practice climbing, and help each other on the way to becoming ISA‑certified Tree Climbers.

Responsibilities

• Learn and practice climbing knots and techniques
• Assist crew members and help each other ascend safely
• Perform ground‑person duties and support tree care operations
• Work outdoors in all Northern California weather conditions
• Lift up to 50 pounds and, once trained, hoist/pull yourself into a tree using ropes and pulleys
• Maintain a fast pace, able to run, walk, and hustle for up to 8 hours per day
• Demonstrate comfort working at heights

Requirements

• Current and clean California Driver’s License with reliable transportation (deal breaker)
