Apprentice Technician (AV, Lighting, Shading, Control)

About the role

Lelch is seeking an aspiring Low-Voltage Technician to join our team. You will learn how to install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems in commercial and residential settings. Once trained, you will ensure that installations are completed on time, on budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Schedule

• Full Time (40 hrs/Wk)
• Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (CST)

Responsibilities

You Will Learn How To:

• Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Set up and configure devices
• Understand networks
• Troubleshoot devices
• Eventually program systems (Lutron, Control4, Savant, Crestron)

Requirements

• An interest in commercial and/or residential AV & low-voltage wiring and installation
• Familiarity with networking
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay

$20.00 – $30.00 per hour ($42,000 – $62,000 per year)
