Apprentice/Salon Assistant

About the role

Cowboys & Angels Salon is seeking a full-time Cutting or Color Apprentice who possesses and conveys a passion for the craft of hairdressing. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with fellow cut and color apprentices, service providers, and guests in a positive and proactive manner. You will help uphold the salon’s mission by maintaining impeccable standards in your thoughts, words, and actions. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and committed to continuous improvement and ongoing technical training.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a continuous commitment to education and uphold the salon’s highest standards.
• Collaborate with apprentices, service providers, and guests in a proactive and positive manner.
• Participate in weekly apprentice classes with models appropriate for your stage in the program.
• Maintain organization, efficiency, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extremely motivated with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Passion for hair and customer service, with the ability to make an incredible first impression.
• Outgoing and positive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to interact successfully with a wide range of personalities.
• Team player with a strong sense of integrity, accountability, and responsibility.
• California licensed or have a State Board test date on the horizon.

Pay

Current San Francisco minimum wage, increasing to $15.00 per hour on July 1, 2018.
