Apprentice Plumber
Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid training plus continual training in our plumbing school. You’ll earn while you learn the trade, and we’ll guide you through the plumber licensing process to help you advance.
About the role
First year Roto-Rooter service technicians can expect average yearly earnings between $60,000-$70,000. Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is North America's largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider, operating in over 100 company-owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 independent franchise operations, serving approximately 90% of the U.S. population and parts of Canada.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing and drain issues and provide cost estimates to customers.
- Perform necessary repairs to resolve customer plumbing problems.
- Document estimates and invoices both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
- Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior plumbing experience is not necessary.
