Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid training at $20/hour. You’ll earn while you learn the trade, and we’ll guide you through the plumber licensing process to help you advance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing and drain problems and provide cost estimates to close sales.
- Perform necessary repairs for customers.
- Document estimates and invoices both in writing and using a provided smartphone.
- Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior plumbing experience is not necessary.
Service technicians are paid an hourly rate of $17.00 to $20.00 during training. After training, pay is at or above minimum wage for all hours worked, with potential for higher administrative pay (up to $89.88/hour). Technicians also earn commissions at 16-22% of revenue, depending on the category, plus additional commissions of $10 to $155 for selling products and treatments.
