Apprentice Plumber
Main Tasks
- Work safely no matter what.
- Lay out and install commercial pipes in various job settings.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
- Build and install hangers to hold material in place.
- Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roofs.
- Absorb and assist with installing plumbing fixtures.
- Learn to use a variety of power & hand tools.
- Complete classes online and at-home study with skills and textbook learning.
Requirements
You need to have a High School diploma or GED. Experience using hand tools and a tape measure is a plus. You must be able to keep a drug-free workplace, be punctual and reliable, work as a team, and perform basic “tape measure math.” You must also be able to work in extremes of heat, cold, and bad weather, indoors and outdoors. Standing and walking throughout the workday, lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs., working in confined spaces, reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, exercising fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination are all required.

Schedule
Classes begin in August 2025, but you can start working immediately.
