About the role

LensCrafters is part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in vision care products and digital solutions. We are seeking an Apprentice Optician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience by performing key steps of our selling model and ensuring customers are delighted.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and explain the process transparently.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their vision, lifestyle, and budget.
• Perform AccuFit fittings and solve visual problems or challenges.
• Tender transactions accurately and collect payments following company security procedures.
• Dispense eyewear and educate customers on LensCrafters’ guarantees, care tips, and follow-up services.
• Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear carefully, and ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards.
• Operate the Point of Sale terminal, inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report potential safety issues.
• Model and reinforce the CEE service and selling model for other retail associates.
• Strive to achieve “Exceptional Results” on annual CEI/Functional Skills assessments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Part of a sanctioned Apprentice Program.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
• Knowledge of current optical theory, merchandise, and fashion trends.
• Strong basic math skills and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Actively studying for LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Previous customer service and retail experience.
