Apprentice - Networking

This role is the first step in a rewarding career path for someone wanting to enter the Low Voltage Infrastructure field with little or no prior cabling experience. You must be enrolled in a state-approved apprentice program or school.

Responsibilities

• Show up to jobsite prepared and on time daily
• Wear proper work attire, PPE gear, and safety work boots
• Pull trade-specific cabling as directed
• Clean up at the end of the day, ensuring all cables are neatly coiled, trash is picked up, and tools are clean and put away
• Perform installation per Bosch Building Technologies standards
• Maintain a clean job site
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• No experience necessary
• Must be able to work weekends, night shifts, and travel out of town
• Ability to obtain Hilti, Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom Lift, and Confined Space Certifications
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Physical Demands

In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

• Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on a keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Use of power tools will be required
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• May be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and job sites
• May be required to travel to and from job site locations
• May work in a typical office environment
• Occasionally exposed to construction equipment
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
• Confined space entry may be required
• High work may be required

Pay

$20 - $35 per hour

Schedule

This position generally works Monday–Friday, with overtime and on-call availability when necessary.
